PBI’s Print & Media Boston Conference to Take Place in April

January 9, 2012
CHESTNUT HILL, MA—Jan. 9, 2012—Just seven months after rocking Chicago with the 6th Annual Print & Media Conference in September, Print Buyers International (PBI) will touch down in Boston with a one-day Print & Media Boston Conference for professionals who purchase, design for or market with print and e-media on Wednesday, April 11, 2012.

The PBI Boston Conference is in addition to PBI’s annual two-day conference, which will take place this October at McCormick Place in Chicago. Once again, PBI’s annual conference will be co-located with GRAPH EXPO, the industry’s largest annual trade show and conference.

The PBI Boston program, created by PBI founder Margie Dana, will provide a behind-the-scenes look into the trends and advances that are revolutionizing the use of print and e-media today. Learn from industry innovators like award-winning creative visionary Daniel Dejan; Digitas Senior Production Manager Mariah Hunt; media and sustainability thought leader Don Carli; digital and variable data printing expert Cheryl Kahanec; SVP of Production Services for LehmanMillet Blair Weidig; and others during the 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. program.

You’ll discover the information you need to stay relevant and successful in your career, including:
  • What you need to know about Quick Response (QR) and Augmented Reality (AR) Codes.
  • How to interpret a printer’s equipment list when prequalifying service providers.
  • How to make sustainable media supply chain choices.
  • The latest innovations in digital and variable data printing.
  • Best print-buying practices in 2012.

Plus, enjoy an inspiring Brainstorming Session led by Dana, lunchtime introductions to our cutting-edge sponsors, and networking and connection with conference attendees over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the end of the day.

PBI Members and Associate Members are eligible for EXTRA Early Bird Rates before February 1st ($119 and $219, respectively). Non-members pay just $260 through February 20th. A very limited number of vendors, printers, suppliers and other service providers may register at $399. Reserve your spot today.

Everyone who registers by Feb. 20, 2012, will receive a FREE e-copy of Margie Dana’s book, “Print Buying Made Simple”—the leading guide to working with the print industry.

PBI Print & Media Boston takes place in Boston’s medical district at the The Inn at Longwood, which is accessible by public transportation, by car, and just a short cab ride from Logan International Airport. Take advantage of a generous lodging discount at the Inn (342 Longwood Ave., Boston) by phoning (617) 731-4700 by March 20, 2012. Be sure to mention the PBI Boston Conference when you call.
