Masterwork Brings Award-winning Packaging, Postpress Finishing Equipment to PRINT 13
CHARLOTTE, NC—August 20, 2013—Finishing manufacturer of folding carton and packaging equipment, Masterwork USA, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, will be inviting attendees to see its dynamic exhibit of two new pieces of equipment at PRINT 13, the largest and most innovative global exhibition of digital, offset and hybrid technologies in 2013, scheduled for September 8-12 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. Masterwork will display its new 21060STE Duopress automatic platen foil stamping and diecutting machine with stripping and its 420 MINI Q carton inspection machine at Booth 1267.
“We are excited to bring our world-class equipment to the largest graphic arts trade show in North America,” remarked Carol Jiang, vice president of Masterwork USA. “We’ve been exhibiting around the country and we’ve just opened our new demonstration center to much praise. We feel there is a void in the market for our smart postpress finishing equipment that only we can fill. This will be a terrific opportunity to show attendees why Masterwork is the leader in finishing equipment.”
For those seeking to create high-quality packaging, the MK21060STE Duopress foil stamping and diecutting machine with stripping provides the solution. It is the world’s first and only double-station machine designed with a one-pass integrated system combining the platen through the embossing and foil stamping onto the diecutting and stripping functions. The two-platen system boasts a maximum output speed of 6,000 sheets/hr, but because multiple passes with two platens run at one time, users realize an output of 12,000 sheets/hr. Its optimized pressure adjustment provides a better foil stamping result. Its patented design of the adjusting mechanism ensures that the two units have high register accuracy. A separate power-driven waste conveyor belt is capable of removing waste at a high speed.
The MK 420 MINI Q high-speed, high precision carton inspection machine allows a graphic arts firm to increase production capacity, reduce costs and carry out 100 percent online inspections throughout 24 hours of uninterrupted operation. The Mini’s new technology removes the cumbersome human inspection process with its inefficiency and inaccuracy and allows the 420MINI’s high-speed CCD camera to detect the slightest deviations from the standard sample. The 420MINI Q has a highly adjustable patented light source that can make meticulous and accurate adjustments according to the different printing processes, such as laser or holographic foil stamping. This light source, found only on MK machines, can filter the reflective light on the sheets to make the image clear and give the best detection results. The MK 420MINI offers a maximum running speed of 75,000 sheets/hr. It will take a maximum sheet size of 420mmx350mm and a minimum sheet size of 70mmx70mm.
