A Trip to Spain at Your Fingertips

This week’s Gold Ink entry takes us on an eight-day excursion through Spain—from Valencia to Cuenca—as seen through the eyes of traveller and photographer Mickey Lee in his MyPublisher Customer Photo Book “Ocho Dias En Espana 2013.” This book was entered into the Digital Printing, Photos Books Gold Ink category and was printed on an HP digital press by New York-based printer MyPublisher.

The size of the book and the glossy paper used from Sappi Fine Paper, makes the texture in the images pop—both were taken in black-and-white and in color. The images laid against the black background also create a very dramatic visual effect. This piece shows us the true quality that is possible by using a digital press to reproduce an image and how choosing the right paper for a project can make it stand out that much more.
