Dynagram to Introduce Optimization and Planning within Professional Imposition Software
April 2008
QUEBEC, CANADA—April 4, 2008—Dynagram, the leader in innovative imposition technologies for the commercial print, digital print and prepress industries will show a totally new line-up of professional imposition tools based on PDF and JDF workflows. This includes the introduction of the inpO2® version 3.0 imposition software for Adobe® Acrobat® along with two new modules for imposition planning and ganging optimization through automatic layout calculation. In addition, Dynagram will be showing its DynaStrip® imposition software version 5.2 working within a JDF workflow with MIS and RIP partners in the CIP4 JDF Pavilion.
inpO2 version 3.0
New to inpO2 version 3.0 imposition software for Adobe Acrobat, will be the addition of a new module for ganging optimization and an imposition planning module designed to enhance communication between job planning and print production. inpO2 version 3.0 will also introduce Check Points, a built-in monitoring system designed to alert the user to potential problems with their imposition layouts, and an enhanced user interface that allows for easy localization into any language. Pricing, configuration, and availability for the new inpO2 version 3.0 product will be introduced at the show.
‘’With inpO2 version 3.0, we are very proud to release the first full-featured imposition software that also integrates planning and ganging optimization capabilities,” said Francois Guerard, President and CEO of Dynagram. “Printers now have access to the knowledge of a company that specializes in imposition, in a product that also offers affordable modules for job planning and ganging optimization,’’ continued Guerard.
DynaStrip version 5.2
DynaStrip 5.2 will include new features such as the support of different barcode standards for integration with post-press equipment. By integrating with postpress barcodes systems, DynaStrip plays another important role for efficient and automated product quality control. Dynagram will also present DynaStrip’s newest edition, DynaStrip JDF Import, which features a JDF input module that supports JDF Stripping parameters coming from any MIS or prepress workflow manager, including folding parameters from the JDF Fold Catalog.
INposition® version 7.3
INposition is a Dynagram’s QuarkXPress® XTension for professional imposition. INposition 7.3 now runs natively on both Intel® and PowerPC-based Mac processors (Universal Binary) and thus offers increased performance.
JDF Workflows
In the CIP4 JDF Experience Parc, Dynagram will be showing several live JDF workflows along with MIS and RIP solutions. In the demonstrations, Dynagram will show how JDF files produced by the MIS systems are processed and imposed in DynaStrip 5.2 then JDF imposition data is passed on to the RIP for processing. In addition, a JDF printing workflow will be shown with inpO2 3.0.
