Waunakee, WI-based Suttle-Straus Inc. has promoted Ted Straus to executive vice president and COO, responsible for the overall operations of the company. He is the fourth generation of the Straus family to hold a leadership role in the organization.

At Voorhees, NJ-based AFL Web Printing, Joseph Cavone has been named vice president of sales and marketing. Robert Walters, formerly vice president of sales and business development manager, has been promoted to vice president.

GLS Cos., Brooklyn Park, MN, has tapped Jayme Wisely as executive vice president.

The XMPie Users Group has launched a new Website (www.xmpieusers.org) to increase online collaboration, as well as offer new and improved networking and education functionality to its members.

Morrisville, NC-based digital printing company Southport Graphics has hired Chris Wallace as vice president of sales and marketing.

Worzalla Publishing, located in Stevens Point, WI, has named Kris Koch vice president of operations. Koch joins Worzalla from Allied Bindery, where he served as president.

Adam Avrick, president of Design Distributors, Deer Park, NY, has assumed the role of chairman of Printing Industries of Long Island (PIA-LI). Avrick has served for two years on the board of directors of Printing Industries Alliance (PIA) and has taken on the additional responsibility of heading up its regional group of member firms sited on Long Island.

Thomson-Shore, Dexter, MI, has hired Ken Fultz as its new vice president of operations and distribution. Fultz comes to Thomson-Shore from Mazer Corp., where he held several positions during his 30-year career with the company.

Don Curtis is the new quality and continual improvement manager at the HardingPoorman Group based in Indianapolis. Curtis previously served at Pratt Corp. PI
