FENTON—Garlich Printing now offers an array of direct mail services. Equipment used for this work includes a Buskro HP and Atlas ink-jet system with a Buskro BK700 portable controller running both Compose IQ and Mail Manager 2010 software applications.
SAINT LOUIS—Lander Binding & Finishing has installed a Kluge UniFold folding and gluing system with the new Vertical Buckle Plate. It will be used for folding and gluing pocket folders, CD wallets and other products.
NEW YORK CITY—One of the nation's leading Chinese-American newspapers, the Sing Tao Daily, has installed a Presto saddle stitching system from Muller Martini at its production facility here. The New York edition of the Sing Tao Daily accounts for 60,000 of the paper's 181,000 national circulation. The San Francisco edition of the newspaper recently installed a similar Presto saddle stitching system. Its circulation tops 65,000.
CANAL WINCHESTER—The Printing Co. has installed a 14x22˝ Kluge EHD diecutter. The company has been in business for 103 years and plans to use this new equipment for diecutting hang tags for a major apparel retailer.
COLUMBUS—Hopkins Printing has expanded its bindery capabilities with a Bravo-S saddle stitching system from Muller Martini. The Bravo-S brings expanded versatility to Hopkins' 75,000-square-foot facility.
OKLAHOMA CITY—The Baptist Messenger, the third largest subscription newspaper in Oklahoma, has installed a Quad Stack four-over-four-color printing unit manufactured by Web Press Corp.
JUANA DIAZ—Imprenta Llorens has begun manufacturing adhesive-bound books on a new AmigoPlus perfecting binding system from Muller Martini.
BARTLETT—Lamination Service Inc. (LSI) has added a Muller Martini Tigra to enhance the perfect binding capabilities of its finishing operation. LSI specializes in badging solutions, badging supplies, binding services and laminating services. In addition to its perfect binding capabilities, LSI offers saddle stitching, spiral and wire binding and fastback binding.
SHELBYVILLE—Jostens has installed a Kluge EHD machine to foil stamp and emboss graduation announcements.
DALLAS—Padgett Printing was recognized by the Dallas Historical Society as a Cornerstone Company of Dallas in October. In a ceremony held at the Hall of State in Dallas' historic Fair Park, 58 outstanding companies doing business in Dallas for eight decades or more were awarded certificates for entrepreneurial spirit and longevity.
IRVING—A six-color Komori Lithrone 40 with in-line coater has been installed at Gateway Graphics.
MESQUITE—IntegraColor recently installed a new Kluge UniFold Small Box Configuration. In business since 1957, the company specializes in horticultural printing, point-of-purchase printing and book printing using sheetfed, web, flexo and screen printing equipment.
BROOKFIELD—Heritage Quality Printing has purchased a four-color Hamada B452A press from distributor Best Graphics.
HUDSON—Resco Print Group, a mid-sized commercial printer, has improved its ability to track and control costs for each printing job it processes after implementing Printcafe's PSI print management system.
STURTEVANT—An Osako 368 saddle stitcher has been purchased by Tru-Line Litho.
