Colorfx Swings Deal to Acquire Demco Printing

DES MOINES, IA—Colorfx has completed a deal to acquire Demco Printing, based in Boyden, IA, from Dethmers Manufacturing. Demco Printing offers digital, sheetfed and web printing, along with complete finishing services. With more than 30 years of experience, Demco will further expand the geographic reach and service capabilities of Colorfx and its sister company, Rock Communications.

“We are excited to partner with Demco and their customers to provide comprehensive communications solutions,” said Jon Troen, president of Rock Communications and Colorfx. “The addition of their Boyden plant will enhance our geographic reach and expand our already robust manufacturing capabilities. Further, Demco customers will now have access to a more complete set of marketing services such as design, photography, mail presorting and processing, as well as social and digital media marketing.”

Colorfx and Rock Communications are national providers of print and multichannel marketing solutions. Combined annual sales of the merged organizations will be approximately $85 million, with approximately 500 employees operating in five facilities throughout Iowa.
