A new, updated park is re-opening next week in Richmond Hill (ON), named for a longtime columnist of The Liberal newspaper.
As a tribute to Mary Dawson, the 6-acre park features newspaper and printing press themes.
Galvanized steel and concrete used throughout the park makes it feel as though you are in a printing press factory. The park also features a concrete runnel that conveys rainwater; this is to mimic a printing press conveyor belt.
