Use Vision, Clarity, and Puzzle Pieces to Help Guide Your Strategy
Vision and clarity are powerful attributes. They are as important to your daily activities as they are to your business. Vision and clarity are also vital as you work on putting a puzzle together. Think about how hard it would be to complete a puzzle without having all the pieces facing up and having the picture of the completed puzzle as a reference. Not a fun activity. So what does that have to do with strategy?
Building your business strategy is like completing a puzzle. In the beginning, there are many unknowns to contend with. You face issues ranging from what your competitive advantage is, how customers want to buy, and do you have the right people in the right seats? Not all the puzzle pieces are facing up at this stage. As you work through these concerns and turn the pieces over, one by one, you begin to gain clarity in your mission and the “picture” of where your business is headed comes into focus.
Take the time to make sure that all of your puzzle pieces are facing up as your build your business strategy. Have a clear picture of what you want the business to look like and work with your team to best articulate that. This vision, and clarity, will provide the foundation for what is needed to help you reach your goals.
Doing all of this doesn’t make strategy and planning easy, but it will make it a bit easier. If you have questions or insight into this topic, please comment below or reach out to me directly.
