When you are six years old, things can seem very scary
My daughter started her new form at school a few weeks ago. At her age it’s a big jump. She is now expected to work more and play a lot less. Many of the systems from her old class that she is used to have now been changed.
She is right out of her comfort zone.
But she is making huge steps forward in her new class. Her handwriting is magnificent. Her understanding of math is hugely improved.
Good things come from moving out of your comfort zone
It’s the same in printing sales. It’s tempting to keep doing what we are used to. It’s tempting to keep to the same old message and to keep contacting your prospects and customers in the same old ways.
However, the world is changing. If we don’t change with it, we get left behind. In printing, sales that can have a massive effect on sales and profit margins.
Not moving out of your comfort zone can be fatal
That’s why I’m issuing you with a challenge this week. I’d like you to decide to do something differently.
Take 10 minutes to think about how you might change the way you do one thing. I’d like you to write down your action point.
You may find you enjoy moving out of your comfort zone
Doing things differently can be exciting. You’ll enjoy learning new skills. You’ll enjoy looking out for the change in your sales results.
It may seem hard work moving out of your comfort zone. But remember my daughter. The new class seemed very scary for her at first. But now she loves it.
