First, the bad news:
You are not Tony Robbins.
You are not Oprah.
Now, for the good news:
You are you.
You have a place and a market and customer.
All three of my girls are inked. There is not enough tequila in the world for me to join that group and don a tattoo. Kate, my oldest, informed me that she is having the words, "You are enough" added to her forearm. Like the other two, these three words have special meaning to her. And while I don't really care for the fact that she is permanently marring that beautiful skin, her message is also yours. You are enough. You are who you are and there is no need to be anyone else. That is to say, when you are outselling, do not put on airs. Do not pretend to be something or someone you are not.
If you and I sat next to each other as salespeople, some would gravitate toward you and repel me. Others would do the opposite. I can be outgoing and gregarious and fun while you might be quiet and introverted and possess a monotone voice. On paper, I might be earmarked for success but don't worry, you can still win.
Slow and steady wins the race. Be consistent and diligent. You are enough. Just be yourself.
