Social media is an important part of selling print
Any sales person who is not using social media should be!
How do promote your personal brand on social media?
This is the easy bit! You need to have a great social media profile. You need to post regularly in a way that engages your audience and tells them a little bit about you. It’s not just about selling print. And you should link to other places where you are featured.
What do you talk about?
This is the hard bit! After all, it’s about you rather than selling print. However, it is still fine to talk about what you offer in moderation. But you should mix it with other useful information for your audience. It is also important to share some personal information about you. This need only be as much as you are comfortable with. It can be work personal information rather than home personal information. But it should communicate a little bit about you and your values. The important thing is to be authentic and true to yourself.
Why do this?
Here are three simple reasons. Firstly, it is a great way to attract warm prospects. People who find you, trust you and end up making the first contact. Next, it will help you enormously when your prospects decide to research you. Finally, it is very useful if you are trying to build up a useful business network in addition to a network of prospects.
