Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, did not play alone. In fact, his Chicago Bulls struggled until management found the right team members to put around him.
They worked as a team together and they won championships.
Bill Belichick, arguably the greatest football coach of all time, was a miserable failure in Cleveland. It was only when he came to New England and built a team that included outstanding staff members as well as a man named Brady that it all came together.
They worked as a team together and they keep winning championships (neener, neener, btw).
Real estate agents work in teams.
I, too, have a content creation/podcast team member in Kelly Mallozzi.
Why don't you?
Salespeople are known for being lone wolves. In fact, a friend of mine, one of the most successful commercial real estate agents in Boston, has the license plate: LNE•WLF, a well-earned designation, I am told.
Going on four-legged sales calls is a sales advantage. You can strategize together and present together. Kelly and I are currently giving a few presentations for Canon this summer. She speaks and I think and gather my thoughts. Then, I speak and it gives her a chance to do the same.
In gym class, the teacher would line us up and we would count out one, two, one, two, one, two, and then try to kill each other at dodgeball. Your company will probably not do the same, but you could still unofficially arrange for a selling partner, someone to hold you accountable, someone whose shoulder you can cry on, someone who would help you strategize.
And maybe, just maybe, you can win championships together.
