Get to Know: Associate Vice President of Graphic Services, K.T. Radhakrishnan
K.T. Radhakrishnan was a production team member back when Affinity Express was just starting out. Today, he is an associate vice president of operations in Graphic Production and Support Services. He is proud of his increasing level of responsibility with Affinity Express and credits the support of his colleagues and mentors for his growth within the company. Every day, he tries to maintain a balance between the expectations of clients and the skills of team members to ensure both sets of requirements are met. In addition to his regular duties, there have been various challenges during K.T.’s tenure, including a system collapse in 2007. He remembers that employees worked around the clock and brought delivery to 70% in record time. In May of this year, there was a major backlog in artwork. The team was running two days behind and tensions were high. But within 15 days, delivery was back on schedule. Both these situations are a testament to K.T.’s leadership and the dedicated team he oversees.
He has been a part of many major accomplishments. For example, during his leadership, productivity increased in digitizing from four to eight jobs per shift and quality jumped from 80% to more than 90%. Then there was the impressive grand prize win of Stitches Magazine's 2005 holiday card contest—one of K.T.’s proudest moments at Affinity Express (View the card design on the right.) He is married and has a son in seventh grade. Born in Pune, K.T. graduated from Fergusson College, Pune University, with a degree in physics. On weekends, he enjoys spending time with his family and cooking Indian and continental recipes for them. He used to play cricket and table tennis, but his busy life makes it more convenient these days to watch sports on television. K.T. is also a keen amateur photographer. (We have him to thank for a few of these pictures.) About his interest in photography, he says:
Photography, for me, is an expression of creativity: it’s capturing moments that are unique, moments we miss, moments that will never come back. A photo is a memory that’s frozen, which can be cherished time and again.

Here is what K.T. says about working at Affinity Express:
It is very satisfying to work at Affinity Express with a great team which values and respects each individual. Significant results come from a diversity of people and ideas.
As for himself, K.T. would like to be known as a person who builds confidence, teamwork and morale. K.T. credits his parents and his wife for his positive attitude. He looks forward to growth in all areas: clients, revenue, team members and himself. That seems like a great ambition for all of us to have!
