Joe Curcio

TALLAHASSEE, FL—The owner of a used car dealership may need to go to court in order to get Florida Lottery to honor what appears to be a $500,000 prize. But lottery officials are claiming the ticket is a misprint. Joe Curcio purchased a $20 scratch-off ticket, Florida Lottery Gold Rush, at a service plaza. The winning number, one, on the ticket allegedly matched up with a one above the $500,000 prize. But when Curcio scanned the ticket, the bar code indicated it wasn’t a winner, according to the Associated Press. Lottery officials told Curcio that the top number actually was a 13 that was misprinted. Florida
