RRD Names Richter New CFO CHICAGO—Glenn Richter, former CFO for Sears, Roebuck and Co., has been named to fill the same role for RR Donnelley effective April 1. CHICAGO—RR Donnelley is expanding its printing operations in Lancaster, PA, and Spartanburg, SC. The expansions are part of the company's 2003 capital spending plan of approximately $250 million, aimed primarily at strengthening its printing capabilities. The Lancaster expansion includes a 140,000-square-foot addition and a new wide-web gravure press. The company has yet to settle on a press vendor. The expansion and equipment will be fully operational in early 2005. The Lancaster plant produces magazines, catalogs, retail inserts, telephone directories and financial products, such as TV Guide, The New York Times' Sunday Magazine and Reader's Digest.
