Specialty Print Communications (SPC) continues to grow. In addition to acquiring Michigan-based Batson Printing, an SPC Company, earlier this year, SPC today announces that it has opened a third facility dedicated solely to lettershop services. The new location, at 6250 W. Howard Street is just one block west of their corporate headquarters.

Specialty Print Communications welcomes Batson Printing, now an SPC Co. Since 1957, Batson Printing, located in Benton Harbor, MI, has specialized in printing books and product literature for numerous industries. As third-generation printers in the Midwest, SPC is proud to add another family-owned, and locally-operated printing company to their roster.

The Garvey Group, a network of advertising, marketing, print production, support, and fulfillment divisions located in the Midwest, has become the first printer in the United States to install Screen’s Truepress Jet2500UV grand format UV inkjet printer. The installation took place in January 2009 and since then the company has been consistently producing high quality tightly calibrated grand-format work on the new printer.

KBA North America, a global press manufacturer based in Williston, VT, and Dallas, announces that The Garvey Group, a network of advertising, marketing, print production, support, and fulfillment divisions located in the Midwest, is installing its second KBA Rapida 205 81-inch six-color sheetfed press at its Niles, IL facility.
