Sandy Alexander Inc. is the first U.S. customer to purchase and install EFI’s new high-volume, 5-meter EFI VUTEk 5r LED roll-to-roll printer. The Clifton, N.J.-based integrated multi-channel communication solutions provider chose the superwide-format printer to add greater production capacity and redundancy in its growing wide-format division.

MONTREAL—A new era in newspaper printing kicked off Monday for Transcontinental Inc., which began producing the San Francisco Chronicle at its new 338,000-square-foot plant in Fremont, CA. The facility will print 270,000 copies of the Chronicle from Monday to Saturday and 360,000 on Sunday.
