Mohawk CEO, Congressman Richard Neal Discuss Future of the Fine Paper Industry

Thomas D. O’Connor Jr., the chairman and CEO of Mohawk, joined U.S. Congressman Richard Neal (MA), a member of the Congressional Paper Caucus, to discuss the future of the fine paper industry during the New England Paper Cluster’s annual conference in Springfield, Massachusetts, today. Congressman Neal presented an update from Washington about recent legislative efforts to promote the paper industry on the federal level.

EPA Names Mohawk to 'National Top 100 List' of Green Power Users for 10th Year

Mohawk has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 'National Top 100 List' of Green Power Users for the 10th year in a row. Mohawk was selected for using wind power to meet 100 percent of its electricity use. "I applaud Mr. O'Connor, and his entire team at Mohawk Fine Papers for their commitment to sustainability, local jobs and economic development in the Capital Region," said Congressman Paul Tonko.

Mohawk Announces Plans for a New Multi-Million Dollar Envelope Manufacturing Plant

Mohawk's plan to operate a new 112,342-square-foot envelope manufacturing facility in South Hadley, MA, will result in the creation of up to 40 new jobs. The company expects to produce over 500 million envelopes annually at the new facility, and the new warehouse space will also allow it to service its customers along the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions, as well as overseas businesses.
