“Strengthen Your Core” in web printing will be the theme for manroland web systems at GRAPH EXPO in October. Some of the latest innovations that will be shown will include the Rotoman DirectDrive press for the 16-page market; the 32-page Lithoman press; and the Colorman e:line from manroland's newspaper press line.
As of Sept. 15, 2012, Eckhard Hörner- Maraß (52) is going to take over the position of the spokesman of the management board at manroland web systems GmbH. Uwe Lüders, chairman of the executive board of L. Possehl & Co. mbH, will remain managing director of manroland web systems GmbH, yet he will withdraw from the operative business.
Worzalla has begun taking delivery of its second web press in as many months. The manroland Rotoman N five-color web press is expected to be operational later this fall. “Our customers are beginning to bring book production back to the United States, if we can turn the work quickly,” noted Jim Fetherston CEO of the company.

It’s good to be back home and try to put all drupa 2012 had to offer into some kind of perspective. I’ll start where my drupa did, with the press conference of the ebullient and irrepressible showman Benny Landa and the rollout of Nanography.
