Eschol Harrell has been promoted to the position of account manager at Walton Press, Atlanta, after previously serving as a prepress operator for the company. Harrell has 22 years of publishing production management experience. Lynn McCoy has joined the executive team at DS Graphics, Lowell, MA. She comes to the company with an extensive professional background, including the active president of e-Source International. In other company news, T.C. Kuan is the company's new chief information officer. He is the co-founder of eSource International. Terry McLaughlin has been named senior vice president of sales administration at Segerdahl Graphics, Wheeling, IL. Previously, McLaughlin was vice president of sales.

GAERF Launches Education Push RESTON, VA—The Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation has begun distributing educational information about the printing industry to 65,000 high school teachers and guidance counselors across the country as part of the Make Your Mark in Graphic Communications program. Asset Management--The Search Is On

A Fortune 100 company was conducting an assessment of how it uses digital assets. Management discovered that a single stock photograph had been purchased by some 50 departments at a cost of $500 per purchase. With just this one image, the company could have saved approximately $24,000 if technicians had placed the image into a company-wide digital asset management (DAM) system!
