This example was produced using two different printing processes — printed second surface on the back of the polycarbonate for the glass colors, and then printing first surface with the raised letters to give a tactile feel of actual leading. Recent advances allow the printing of images that look gorgeous whether the light is coming in from the front or behind. The printer used to create the day/night backlit image was the Océ Arizona 6170 XTS. The white ink allows the capability to print on clear materials and use that as a diffuser.
