Xerox has expanded its Genuine Xerox Rewards program to include the purchase of Xerox branded supplies for non-Xerox printers.

To help it keep pace with growing EA toner product demand, Xerox will increase its emulsion aggregation toner capacity by 40 Percent.

Xerox relied on a number of resources to take down consumables thieves, including chain security controls, audits of ordering and consumption, Web and marketplace monitoring, and fraud mitigation programs. The company keeps a watchful eye on the ordering and distribution of supplies to stave off leakage to the black market.

The fifth housing station in the upgraded Xerox 800i/1000i series can now also deliver metallic inks: gold and silver.

Xerox has taken counterfeit prevention measures to protect customers from counterfeit consumables and products, which unknowingly lead to damaged equipment, shoddy output and higher costs. The company has also assembled a worldwide team consisting of brand protection, corporate security and legal to combat counterfeit activities.

At the 31st annual Toner Conference in Santa Barbara, CA, hosted by The Tiara Group, in conjunction with the Graphic Communication Institute (GrCI) at Cal Poly State University, Kodak's Dr. Tomas McHugh stunned delegates when he revealed that Kodak had achieved practically 100 percent biocontent in a chemical color toner that is planned to be in semi-works production this August and full-scale production by June 2015.
