RR Donnelley Announces Its Intent to Create Three Independent Publicly Traded Companies

RR Donnelley & Sons Company announced today that it intends to create three independent, publicly traded companies: one business focused on financial communications and data services; one business focused on publishing and retail-centric print services; and one business focused on customized multichannel communications management. "Each company will have the strategic focus, management resources and capital structure to enable it to strengthen its market position and pursue its growth opportunities, enhancing long-term value for stakeholders," said Thomas J. Quinlan III, RR Donnelley's president and CEO.

Colorado Jury Finds Former CTI Employees Misappropriated Ink Trade Secrets

A Colorado jury ruled in favor of Chromatic Technologies Inc. (CTI), a manufacturer of thermochromic inks that can turn cans blue when a beverage is cold. The jury found that SilverFox Innovations and its "partners" misappropriated CTI’s trade secrets and that their actions were attended by circumstances of fraud, malice or willful and wanton disregard of CTI’s rights.

Heidelberg Shareholders Approve All Items on Agenda with Clear Majority

Around 1,650 shareholders today participated in the Annual General Meeting of Heidelberg for financial year 2014/2015 in Mannheim, Germany. Approval from the company’s shareholders was needed for six of the seven items on the AGM’s agenda. These included the election of Kirsten Lange to the Supervisory Board and decisions to raise new contingent capital and new authorized capital. All items on the agenda were approved with a clear majority.
