RR Donnelley & Sons Company announced today that it intends to create three independent, publicly traded companies: one business focused on financial communications and data services; one business focused on publishing and retail-centric print services; and one business focused on customized multichannel communications management. "Each company will have the strategic focus, management resources and capital structure to enable it to strengthen its market position and pursue its growth opportunities, enhancing long-term value for stakeholders," said Thomas J. Quinlan III, RR Donnelley's president and CEO.

A Colorado jury ruled in favor of Chromatic Technologies Inc. (CTI), a manufacturer of thermochromic inks that can turn cans blue when a beverage is cold.
