Your 3-Month Sales Plan
OMG what happened to August???
Here we are at the onset of a new month and with it comes a new block of time. What will you do with it? What are your goals? Do you even have any?
While on a walk with my wife this past Labor Day weekend, we started talking about the short-term goals we want to make for the next three months. Subjects covered ranged from health to food choices to trips to house chores and, of course, exercise. That’s how we roll in the FarkaBerry household: Thinking about the next chunk of time and coming up with a list of the things we want to accomplish.
What about you?
What are your short-term goals for the next 90 days? In all aspects of your life — business and personal — you have an opportunity to improve and advance BUT in order to maximize the outcome, you’ll need a plan. Here are a few tasks to achieve:
- Describe where you want to be December
- Name five existing accounts you will focus on THIS MONTH in order to shore up current business and expand into new products and services. Do the same for October and November
- Name three categories of products/services you offer that you will highlight and create new opportunities (digital, storefront, wide-format, holiday cards, etc.)
“Opportunity” really is the operative word, here. You have the opportunity to achieve a lot of growth in the next three month time period BUT it all starts with some thoughtful consideration, a quick look back to consider past projects and what might need some attention, followed by a short-term list of activity goals between now and end of November.
Success in sales is not a Rubik’s Cube. The best of the best are always following a plan and today marks the start of the next one.
