The software has been so well received in Europe that it is in great demand from print companies that own both digital and Litho printers. RedTie is dedicated to educating the market about the possibilities of variable data, on-demand print. It has franchised the software to printing companies wishing to offer web-to-print and digital printing services, enabling other printers to take this first step into digital printing.
“The growth of demand for digital printing is phenomenal, and web-to-press solutions are revolutionising the way companies do business,” said Marian Stefani, managing director, RedTie Ltd.
“There are a lot of misconceptions that web-to-print solutions are complicated to use and expensive to install. We want to dispel these misconceptions. RTQ and RTT are user-friendly, quick to install, and unlike many similar solutions on the market, they are very cost-effective.”
“Digital printing changes the way customers think about buying print and creates new ways of measuring success,” adds Marian. “With our web-to-print application, print service providers are now able to offer added-value services, without having to outlay large amounts of money for complicated and unnecessary software solutions. By providing fast, uncomplicated routes to print, digital technology can open new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with existing customers and maximise profitability.”
HP is using the system across regional Graphic Arts sales teams in the UK and Europe. Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager, Indigo division, HP said:
“The software solution that RedTie has developed has provided a centralised solution for our sales teams to order timely, personalised and relevant print on-demand. Since rolling out the solution in the UK, we have had some excellent feedback from our sales force and to date the trial is going well.
“In addition, the software is proving to be a valuable tool in our sales process – our HP Indigo sales force is using the software as a sales tool to help introduce the web-to-print concept to customers considering purchasing an HP Indigo digital press.”
