The Advertising Production Club of NYC: Sponsoring The Future
In this Podcasts from the Printerverse episode, I spoke to President of APC-NYC , who brought along some of the students and professionals she has worked with in her role. Joining her was , Production Assistant at , , Marketing Intern at and , Student/Producer at .
I spoke to Siobhan about how APC-NYC has adjusted it’s model and re-imagined its events since the pandemic, and how everyone can support the organization so it can continue its great work.
It was so interesting to talk to the future of the advertising production workforce and find out what’s important to them. They talked confidently about building a personal brand authentically and giving yourself space to evolve as you progress in your career, and what they look for in a company during a job search, including finding an organisation where they could feel comfortable and be themselves, a business that champions diversity and inclusion, and a good work/life balance.
For those further on in their careers, some of these requirements may be far from the first things you looked for in a job when you were starting out, but we all need to realize they are potential dealbreakers for the future leaders of print, marketing advertising, and just about every other market.
Listen Long and Prosper!
