LEWISBURG—Company officials at Lewisburg Printing expect to start taking on more business with current customers and attracting new clients due to the capabilities of its new six-color, 73? Roland 900 XXL large-format press with an aqueous coater.
GEORGETOWN—Williamson County Sun, a semi-weekly newspaper, has ordered two Goss Community SSC stacked units to add to its existing Community SSC press. The new additions will convert an existing two-high tower into a four-high configuration, enabling the printer to produce back-to-back, four-color work more effectively.
CLEARFIELD—The Malnove Inc. facility here is the new home to a seven-color, 56? KBA Rapida 142 sheetfed press, replacing a 50? unit.
SOUTH BURLINGTON—Prism's QTMS iQ production management system is now in use at Lane Press. The automated workflow tracking solution will track material flow from roll receipt through delivery.
SEATTLE—Academy Press has added a second Heidelberg press to its new 20,000-square-foot facility. It acquired a five-color, 29? Speedmaster CD 74 equipped with Instant Gate, Axis Control, Color Assistant and InkLine automated ink delivery system. Typical applications include post cards and small direct mail brochures in the 100,000 to 500,000 range.
SUN PRAIRIE—Western States Envelope & Label's five-month project to build a new label plant is complete. The company moved its label operations from a leased facility in Madison to the 36,000-square-foot –facility here that offers office and manufacturing space, as well as energy-saving features.
