Tom Denton has joined Los Alamitos, CA-based Trend Offset Printing as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Denton, who comes to Trend from Kodak, will establish the national strategic sales vision for the $250 million commercial printing company.
Wright Business Forms, of Portland, OR, has promoted Brad Willard from special projects manager to production manager. Carol Gibbs was also promoted from customer service manager to special projects manager for the combined sales and customer service departments.
Rick Stryker of Grit Commercial Printing in Montoursville, PA, has been named the Neographics 2007 “Pressperson of the Year.” Stryker, who has been with Grit since 1993, will receive the award May 3 at the Neographics dinner and awards ceremony hosted by the Graphic Arts Association.
First Impression Print-Bind-Mail, based in Pittsburgh, PA, has named Tom Poupard general manager. Poupard, a 30-year printing industry veteran, has held senior management positions with Quebecor and EFI (formerly PrintCafe).
Daniel Remaley has been promoted to senior technical consultant at PIA/GATF. Remaley will conduct technical plant assessments and help printers install systems to minimize variation in proofs, plates and presswork. He is an industry pioneer in the use of gray balance to maintain consistent on-press color, a principle since adopted in new guidelines for commercial lithography. PI
