Public Printer Robert C. Tapella has named Matt Reddell as Deputy Chief of Staff for the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). Reddell now assists the Chief of Staff in the operational management of the agency, helping to develop performance plans for executive offices, as well as working on GPO’s strategic goals. Reddell has been a GPO employee since 2006; previously, he spent several years working on Capitol Hill.
At Annapolis, MD-based Frank Gumpert Printing, Gary Zorn has been promoted to vice president of operations. Zorn, who rose from stock boy to president at Admiral Envelope and Printing Co., was instrumental in orchestrating the successful merger of Admiral with Frank Gumpert. Serving as vice president of sales and marketing since the merger, Zorn has helped double the sales volume at the company.
The Graphic Arts Association’s Neographics 2008 Power of Print honorees include Francis Ciociola, who previously served as vice president of production at Philadelphia-based Innovation Printing & Communications. Named as the “Unsung Hero of the Year,” Ciociola, who recently retired after 26 years with Innovation, received the award at the Neographics printing competition awards ceremony May 1 in Philadelphia.
Claremont, CA-based Phoenix Marketing Services has named Kelly Capps as creative account executive. Capps, who has worked in creative design for more than 25 years, has owned CAPPSdesign, a creative design firm, served as creative director with MLS Marketing Group, and has taught graphic design at several California colleges and universities.
