GEORGIA
CRAWFORD—Greater Georgia Printers expanded its capabilities with the addition of a new four-color Speedmaster CD 102 with in-line aqueous coater and a Polar 115 X cutter with stack lift and pile turner, both from Heidelberg.
ILLINOIS
ADDISON—Avante LLC recently acquired an Océ CS650 digital press with four-color capabilities and an Océ VP1105 variable press. In-line saddle-stitching and perfect binding equipment were also installed. In other news, the company announced that James Quigley is now Avante’s sole owner, president and CEO.
BATAVIA—There’s been a significant reduction in prepress production costs at BFC Forms Services since its recent equipment upgrade, which includes adding two Agfa Avalon N8 platesetters.
SPRINGFIELD—After installing a new five-color, 40? Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 102 perfector with coater, Frye Williamson Press reported its best two months of sales in the company’s 40-year history.

WEST BEND—Serigraph Inc., one of the largest specialty printers in the world with annual revenues of $130 million, recently installed a Kodak Magnus VLF platesetter with the Multi-Cassette Unit option.
NEW JERSEY
CARLSTADT—A Xeikon 8000 digital press with X-800 digital front end and productivity-adapted toner technology is the latest investment at Strategic Content Imaging (SCI). The Xeikon 8000, which debuted at Drupa 2008, joins an existing Xeikon 6000 press.
SWEDESBORO—Direct Group has installed its second Océ JetStream 2200 color ink-jet press, this one with magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) capabilities. The company also acquired five new intelligent insert systems, which will afford clients new statement processing and transpromotional marketing opportunities.
NEW YORK
ELMSFORD—A new Heidelberg Suprasetter A74 platesetter and upgraded Prinect workflow system have been purchased by Jam Printing, along with Heidelberg’s Prinect Signa Station and Prinect MetaDimension technologies.
LONG ISLAND CITY—To help integrate its offset and digital printing divisions, Prestone Printing invested in a new Kodak Insite storefront system.
