JEFFERSON CITY—The News Tribune Co. has purchased a second Kodak Trendsetter News platesetter and Staccato screening.
OZARK—Print Group has invested in a two-color Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46 press to help tap the market for short-run, spot-color work.
FAIRFIELD—Cooper Printing, a family owned, 30-employee commercial printer, has added a Mitsubishi sheetfed press. The 40˝ press, a six-color Diamond 3000S, is equipped with a Harris & Bruno anilox coater and will augment capacity for the $4 million firm.
BLAUVELT—Ryan Printing has installed a five-color Speedmaster CD 74 press with coater, together with a Prosetter P74 violet platesetter. The new press features the Heidelberg Axis Control color measurement system.
ELMSFORD—M&R Manufacturing replaced an existing four-color Heidelberg GTO with a new five-color Printmaster PM 52 late last year.
FREEPORT—Castlereagh Printing has installed its second Komori press, a six-color Lithrone S40 with coater.
LONG ISLAND CITY—PDM Litho/Peachtree Enterprises installed a six-color, 40˝ Mitsubishi Diamond 3000LS with coater, its fourth Mitsubishi press in 12 years.
CINCINNATI—Berman Printing recently purchased a 10-color Komori Lithrone S40 perfector.
STEUBENVILLE—The Ogden Newspapers purchased a Kodak Trendsetter News 70 platesetter and Prinergy EVO workflow system.
CHANDLER—Advance Graphics and Printing installed a five-color Heidelberg Printmaster PM 52 with perfector and a Prosetter 52 with SCL and prepress interface.
ALBANY—Lee Enterprises purchased a Kodak Trendsetter News 70 CTP device, Prinergy EVO and Preps workflow software, as well as Staccato screening.
GREENVILLE—Menu Works has installed a new Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46-2 to serve its more than 1,500 restaurant customers.
ANDERSON—Independent Publishing, which prints the Anderson Independent-Mail, purchased a second Kodak Trendsetter News platesetter.
DALLAS—Padgett Printing announced that the company wrote its 30,000th job ticket using EFI Logic management tools. A plant celebration was held and the customer service representative that opened the job received a cash bonus.
