Color Management Conference Adds Third Keynote Address
PITTSBURGH—Nov. 22, 2010—Printing Industries of America is pleased to announced the addition of a third keynote to the Color Management Conference, taking place Dec. 4–7, in Phoenix. Michael Rodriguez, process director at RR Donnelley, will be sharing his experience with color management in a presentation, titled “Perspectives in Managing Color—Past, Present and Future. (Or the Tinted Ramblings of a Color Geek!),” that will touch on the historical foundations, modern evolution and future dimensions of color management.
Rodriguez has been a digital technologist at Donnelley since 1986. Since 1991 he has served as chief color expert across the company’s prepress and printing platforms. He has been a strong advocate for color standards through participation in SWOP, GRACoL, ISO TC130, ICC, and IDEAlliance and was a key contributor in developing the reference print characterizations in wide use today.
“Perspectives in Managing Color—Past, Present, and Future (Or the Tinted Ramblings of a Color Geek!)” joins “The Challenges and Vision of a Winery with Color Management” and “The Standards Movement in Digital Imaging.” These keynotes will provide attendees with a thorough understanding of color management and its place in a print shop.
PIA’s Color Management Conference offers the most up-to-date information on color management and is ideal for creative professionals, digital and wide-format printers, professionals new to color management, packaging professionals, photographers, and prepress and proofing professionals.
