PRIMIR 2013 Winter Meeting to Offer “Futurecast” on Global Print Markets
RESTON, VA—September 18, 2013—PRIMIR, the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, announced its Winter Meeting will be held December 9-11, 2013, at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza Hotel in Chicago.
The PRIMIR 2013 Winter Meeting will be packed with data and content that will help participants understand the latest trends in the global print community, plus actionable solutions to enable them to participate in these “on the horizon” opportunities. A key presentation will be the long-awaited research findings from the NPES study conducted by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) titled, “World-wide Market for Print: Identifying Global Opportunities for the Print Industry." Lead researcher Alex Chan, Senior Analyst, Custom Research for the EIU, will be on hand to share highlights of the data and findings.
The new “World-wide Market for Print” study not only updates data and trends from the PRIMIR 2006 “World Wide Market for Print” series of reports, but also includes fresh macroeconomic assessments for each major region of the world along with graphic communications industry forecast data through 2017. Individual profile reports for each of the key 51 countries with macroeconomic, print market data and forecasts are also included. This 2013 study analyzes and identifies global print products, services, equipment, substrates and supplies opportunities for all firms in the print supply chain and the countries to watch—the emerging print markets.
PRIMIR meetings are conducted in a dynamic forum with industry managers and experts from across the graphic communications industry. Chicago was selected as the site of the PRIMIR 2013 Winter Meeting as it is a major hub for graphic communications firms—both manufacturers and printers.
Additional highlights of the PRIMIR 2013 Winter Meeting will include presentations of the findings from two more timely PRIMIR research studies, “UV/EB Curing Technologies in Printing” and “Packaging in Emerging Markets (Latin America and Asia-Pacific,” plus a plant tour to nearby award-winning print firm, The Garvey Group.
A signature component of every PRIMIR meeting is time on the program for members to take part in task force meetings to weigh in on and discuss current PRIMIR research projects. During the December meeting members will participate in a brainstorming session to determine the topics for future research.
