Presstek to Debut Highly Efficient Presstek 52DI Press at Toronto’s Print World
HUDSON, NH—October 25, 2006—Presstek, Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of digital offset printing business solutions for the graphic arts market, today announced plans to showcase a broad array of digital solutions at Print World 2006 (Booth #300), being held at the National Trade Centre in Downtown Toronto November 18th through 20th, 2006. Formerly known as Print Ontario, Print World: The World of Shorter-Run Printing, focuses on printing technology and services for shorter-run printing.
“The demand for shorter run lengths is a reality that print service providers deal with every day. It makes so much sense to have a trade show dedicated to addressing this significant growth market,” said Presstek’s Ed Marino, President and CEO, “Print service providers from around the world are taking advantage of the short-run growth opportunity with Presstek’s DI presses for digital offset printing; or for conventional offset via efficient, high quality chemistry-free CTP platemaking. We look forward to demonstrating how these solutions deliver high-quality, fast turnaround, cost effective short run color printing – with higher profitability.”
“The 52DI, making its Canadian debut at Print World, is one of the most efficient and profitable presses ever brought to market in the 52cm landscape format size,” indicated Todd Phillips, Eastern Region Sales Manager for Presstek Canada. “The 52DI was the center of attention at the recent Graph Expo show in Chicago. Our dedicated sales and service team, here in Canada, are excited about receiving the same enthusiastic response at Print World.”
Presstek solutions that will be demonstrated at Print World 2006 include:
Presstek 52DI Press – The 52DI offers print service providers the opportunity to
capitalize on the short-run color growth market by producing high quality printing – fast, efficiently and profitably. The automation and inherent quality of the landscape format makes high quality printing easier than ever before with less dependence on operator training and experience. More work can be produced on the 52DI in less time than with a conventional press and eliminates the workflow steps and costs associated with other methods of printing plate production. Print quality of up to 300 lpi and FM screening can be achieved easily without incurring additional time or expense. This high level of automation, ease-of-use and operating speed of up to 10,000 sheets an hour makes this the fastest path from digital file to sellable press sheet. This total makeready is accomplished in approximately 10 minutes, including plate imaging and coming up to color within about 20 sheets.
