Pop Artist/Publisher Tom Zotos to Sign Limited Collectible Posters in Scodix Booth at PRINT 13
CHICAGO—August 21, 2013—Scodix, a leading provider of digital enhancement solutions for the graphic arts industry, will host Tom Zotos, renowned artist and publisher of movie and pop culture imagery, on Monday, September 9, and Tuesday, September 10, in booth #1921 at the upcoming PRINT 2013 trade show in Chicago. On both days, from 11 am to noon and then again from 2 pm to 3 pm, Tom will be present for a meet and greet autograph session, featuring his art enhanced with the groundbreaking Scodix technology. In celebration of his participation, the Scodix booth will host a gallery of Tom’s artwork, featuring iconic DC Comics, Disney and Lucas film characters.

Artist/Publisher Tom Zotos is a pioneer of the Interpretive Licensed Art movement; and over the past three decades, has successfully partnered with movie and TV studios, comic book, cartoon and video game companies and the music industry.
Many of Zotos's most successful initiatives have featured a key social innovation element, whereby worthy causes receive proceeds from the sale of his art. His most recent impactful program was produced in conjunction with the Hard Rock International organization, featuring both a custom Jimi Hendrix commemorative art guitar t-shirt and pin. Since its launch, the program has generated millions of dollars in revenue, with proceeds going to both the Fender Music Foundation and the Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation in his hometown of Seattle.
Other Milestones
- While working with Warner Bros., Zotos published the commemorative collectible art piece "Speechless", an iconic visual tribute to famed voice actor Mel Blanc, which had the side effect of introducing animation art to the world's adult population. "Speechless" depicts the Looney Tunes characters with bowed heads in front of an empty microphone, and it became the highest grossing lithograph in animation history, with The Wall Street Journal reporting sales in excess of $20 million.
- From 1986-1989, Zotos published and created 40 interpretive Disney art images that became the genesis of the Disney Fine Art Program.
- When George Lucas unveiled his Star Wars saga at the Smithsonian Institute, Zotos was summoned to create exclusive merchandise that sold out at the nation's prestigious museum.
