PINCShow 2010 Leaps into the World of Superheroes
SAN FRANCISCO, CA—03/29/10—It’s a bird; it’s a plane; no it’s the PINCShow! The 10th annual PINCShow, Breakthrough! is set for May 6 at Mission Bay Conference Center at UCSF in San Francisco. The show committee is also proud to announce that Peggy Burke, president and owner of 1185, a full service design and multimedia agency in Palo Alto, is having her firm create the superhero graphics for the show and pre-show promotions.
1185 is known for its expertise in design brand strategy and programming. Clients range from start ups to Fortune 100 companies in services, consumer, technology, institutions and biotech. The 25 creative professionals who make up the firm promote a culture of collaboration with multidisciplinary teams working with clients to create a framework to build memorable brands. This year’s theme centers on superheroes. Participants will be urged to transform their talents to super powers through knowledge building educational seminars and their appreciation of superior local resources by visiting the annual trade show.
The morning opens with the first of 16 modestly-priced, cutting edge seminars. Starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. are all led by a stellar list of industry experts. A sample from the super 16 include: Introduction to Adobe Catalyst so that you can make Flash movies with confidence; How to set up a Blog - and why you should given by keynote speaker David Spark; Building eBooks with Creative Suite 4 to help you build eBooks for this ever-growing field of devices; and Design for the New Decade presented by Alfredo Muccino, Liquid Agency.
At noon, there’s a break for the Showcase of Print Excellence Awards Luncheon, where the Grand Award and Best of Show Winners are announced and a dynamic, thought provoking keynote will be presented. In addition, a significant announcement regarding the future of PINC will be made. The lunch is open to all PINCShow attendees and is included in the cost of the day pass.
The Showcase of Print Excellence, now in its 13th year, provides an opportunity for area printers, print suppliers, and creatives to gain recognition for the outstanding work they produce. Companies in the PINC coverage area – Northern California from San Luis Obispo to the Oregon border and Reno – participate. All Gold Awards will be on display at the lunch and throughout the show.
Social media for marketing is the rage and the Showcase of Print and Design Excellence Awards Luncheon keynote speaker David Spark is an expert. Head of Spark Media Solutions, San Francisco, he is a new media consultant and producer who has been reporting for more than fourteen years on the tech industry in print, radio, TV, and online. He also has a history in advertising and as a stand up comedian and comedy writer for Chicago ’s Second City .
