PIA Announces the Return of the Continuous Improvement Conference, April 10-13, in Milwaukee
PITTSBURGH—October 23, 2015—Printing Industries of America (PIA) announces the return of the Continuous Improvement Conference, April 10-13, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The annual event focuses on helping industry companies achieve operational excellence by using the concepts of Lean manufacturing and other management and quality principles.
The conference is ideally suited for any graphic communications company looking for practical ways to boost quality, reduce operational costs and mistakes, speed throughput, and improve customer experience and employee engagement.
“Attendance has grown over the years as companies have recognized that having a continuous improvement strategy is essential for competitiveness,” said Jim Workman, conference manager and PIA assistant vice president. “Attendees come from all types of companies—the commonality is a desire to improve performance.”
The conference will once again feature nationally known keynote speakers such as David Mann, author of "Creating a Lean Culture," numerous sessions focusing on tools, processes, culture, and leadership, and plant tours, including Harley-Davidson Powertrain Operations.
The conference is organized by PIA in partnership with Specialty Graphic Imaging Association. For registration, hotel information, and more on the 2016 Continuous Improvement Conference, visit ci.printing.org.
