Partnership in Print Production Celebrates Luminaire Awards
NEW YORK CITY—February 10, 2009—P3 (Partnership in Print Production) Luminaire Committee co-chairs Nina Wintringham and Gary Pawlaczyk announced the five recipients of this year's prestigious Luminaire Awards, to be presented on April 2nd, 2009, at The Pierre New York.
They are: Brenda Barozzi, Senior Vice President, Director of Print Production, DRAFTFCB; Lu Ann Binda, Director/Team Leader, Promotional Operations, Commercial Operations, Cue Content Process Workstream Leader, Pfizer, Inc.; Timothy J. McCabe, Vice President, Marketing & Production, Tiffany & Co.; Louise Morrin, Vice President of Production, Haymarket Media, Inc.; and David Orlin, Senior Vice President, Operations & Strategic Sourcing, Condé Nast Publications.
The Luminaire Award recognizes the outstanding achievements and personal dedication of women and men in the print production industry-people who are committed to educating themselves and others, and who are innovators in their field.
Announcing the honorees, Wintringham said, "these five professionals are remarkable for their achievements and contributions to P3 and to our industry."
Pawlaczyk added, "it lifts our spirits, especially in challenging times, to get together and celebrate people who have taught and helped the industry."
The five award recipients will be honored at the 22nd annual Luminaire Awards Ceremony, at The Pierre New York on April 2nd. There will be a champagne reception at 6 p.m. in the Regency room, followed by a sit-down dinner and the awards ceremony in the Cotillion room at 6:30 p.m. At 8 p.m., the party will return to the Regency room for cocktails. P3 President Guy Gleysteen will lead the ceremonies.

P3 awards scholarships to students in the graphic arts at schools all over the New York City area through the Graphic Communications Award and Career Advancement Foundation. These scholarship monies are provided by P3's Education Endowment, which is funded by proceeds from the Luminaire Awards Dinner.
P3 is a nonprofit association of professionals and students in graphic communications, print production, publishing, and new media, whose mission is to facilitate career growth and education through peer support and the exchange of information. P3 draws upon the expertise of various members and other industry luminaries to disseminate information on cutting-edge technologies, processes, and methodologies to educate its entire membership.
