PAF Elects Art Abbott as Chairman
ORLANDO-- October 22, 2008--The Printing Association of Florida (PAF) is pleased to announce the election of Art Abbott, President of Abbott Printing Co. of Maitland, Fla., as Chairman of the PAF Board of Directors. The election of PAF officers took place at the most recent Annual member meeting in August 2008. Abbott will formally assume his chairman position at the association's next board meeting in November 2008.
Abbott has been active in PAF for the past five years, having most recently served as the Treasurer of the Board, a member of the PAF Trade Show Council, and PAF Trade Show Council Chairman of PAF's Central Florida Area Communications Committee.
"I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to further serve the graphics and printing industry in Florida," said Abbott about his new leadership role. "Supporting and helping to expand PAF's education initiatives - emphasizing the roles both new technologies and advanced business management techniques can play - are particularly important to me because they provide true value to my colleagues in the industry."
Art Abbott has been President of Abbott Printing, a business started by his father in 1977, since 1990. He and two of his brothers manage the company's overall operations. Together this management team has pursued a goal of ensuring growth through total customer satisfaction. Today the company boasts some of the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art equipment available, complemented by a group of over 50 dedicated and knowledgeable employees.
Abbott brings a positive attitude and a great amount of faith in the future of the printing industry, even as it continues to change and evolve, to his new position on the PAF Board.
"We owe the success of our company to a team of some of the most talented people in the area. Our respect for them and their respect for our customers have spread throughout our organization resulting in customers that are happy and stay with us. Yes, we've added the latest technology but that's only part of the solution; it's what you and your people do with it that makes the real difference," said Abbott.
