Océ Solutions Contribute to ICS Corp.’s ‘Banner Year’ of 30 Percent Growth
Greater productivity and increased throughput drive more revenue
BOCA RATON, FL—March 22, 2007—Océ (Nasdaq: OCENY), a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announced that increased printing productivity driven by Océ solutions has contributed to 30 percent revenue growth for ICS Corporation.
“We wrap up our fiscal year on March 31, and it will go down as a banner year,” said Dan O. Prough, ICS Director of Laser personalization. “Because of high productivity, we have exceeded our sales quota and achieved 120 percent of budget. Greater productivity and increased throughput equal bottom line growth in revenue. Now we’re off and running for 2007.”
A direct mail leader for over 40 years, ICS Corporation specializes in direct response programs for a wide range of organizations. The full service operation offers electronic pre-press, web printing, data processing, extensive personalization, bindery, mailing and fulfillment, postal logistics and other services.
Philadelphia-based ICS completed a new 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art printing facility in 2006. The all-Océ site has six Océ continuous feed systems, two Océ VarioPrint 2110 printers and an Océ PRISMA server to manage and direct production workflow. “The Océ PRISMA server is extremely operator-friendly and easy to use,” Prough noted. “Even an operator with minimal PC experience can assign work, manage files and recall jobs from any of the queues.” The outcome is greater productivity from existing resources, along with more accurate and responsive job management.
The reliable, user-friendly Océ digital printers also boost productivity. “The Océ printers are operator-friendly and extremely robust. We can control labor costs, maintain maximum uptime, and meet production quotas,” he said. “We laser approximately 20,000,000 feet per month with some spikes and traditionally slow periods.” Backed by the all-Océ workflow, jobs move quickly 24/7, and ICS can meet clients’ expectations with a minimal amount of stress and aggravation.
