John Foley to Lead Social Media and Inbound Marketing Master Class in New York Oct. 16
WILMINGTON, Mass., and PHILADELPHIA—August 20, 2015—Grow Socially and NAPCO Media publications Publishing Executive, Printing Impressions, and Target Marketing Magazine are partnering to provide a Social Media and Inbound Marketing Master Class to provide effective social media and inbound marketing strategies for marketing, communications, publishing and printing professionals. The master class, led by John Foley, Jr., CEO/CMO of Grow Socially, will take place on from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 16, 2015 at Manhattan NYC, an Affinia Hotel, in New York City. Business professionals interested in furthering their knowledge on social media and inbound marketing are encouraged to register at smmc.pubexec.com.
Foley, ranked as Forbes' 15th Most Influential Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) on Social Media, will facilitate a morning of strategic sessions and discussions ideal for marketing, communications, publishing and printing professionals. The afternoon features panel discussions, breakout sessions by professional area of focus, and hands-on activities.
"Social media and inbound marketing are two of the biggest opportunities marketers have for connecting with prospects and customers. Social media is the lead generation channel of choice for many top performing businesses," said Thorin McGee, editor-in-chief of Target Marketing magazine. "Yet, we still hear from marketers every day who either don't see the inbound marketing value, or haven't been able to turn that opportunity into real ROI. This class is for them. It's a chance to hear from other marketers who've had real tangible success on social media, talk with them about how they did it, and discuss your unique situation in an open learning environment."
The master class will provide real-world examples of social media and inbound marketing campaigns and strategies that will help demonstrate how attendees can implement successful strategies in their own marketing efforts.
"As publishers ourselves, we know there is room for editorial, audience development, marketing, and the like to improve—or in some cases, simply implement—social media and inbound strategies," said Denis Wilson, editor-in-chief and content director of Publishing Executive magazine. "It's especially important for everyone in the media space to understand the key metrics behind an effective social media strategy and to take it seriously. Too often social media and inbound marketing are regarded as a nice thing to do, and not a mission critical activity. That needs to change."
McGee agreed. "The opportunity in social media is so big that no marketer can afford to miss out on it," he said. "And if you come to this master class, you'll come out with much better strategies and tactics to capitalize on that."
The master class will provide marketing, communications, publishing and printing professionals with new opportunities for integrating social media into their marketing and sales strategies, assist in setting goals for a social media strategy, drive inquiries and leads through inbound marketing, and ultimately convert prospects into customers.
"Printing and graphic arts professionals have much to gain by implementing and executing on effective social media and inbound marketing activities," said Mark Subers, president/CRO of the printing and packaging group at NAPCO Media. "We're excited to be partnering with John Foley and the interlinkONE/Grow Socially team to deliver a full day of proven and actionable tactics and strategies printers can integrate into their marketing and sales efforts."
"It's exciting to have three well respected publications, Publishing Executive, Target Marketing magazine, and Printing Impressions recognize the importance of effective social and inbound marketing strategies to bring this master class to members of the marketing, communications, publishing and printing space," said John Foley, Jr. "I'm excited to be leading this interactive day with great panelists and moderators, and being able to bring some actionable takeaways that our attendees will be able to implement quickly for their publication's benefit."
Upon leaving the class, Foley, along with moderators who specialize in each professional area, are confident that the attendees will be able to implement and grow social engagement as well as drive sales leads and conversions.
"We're thrilled to be partnering with John Foley and Grow Socially on this important event. John's wealth of expertise in helping organizations craft and execute successful social media and inbound marketing strategies makes him uniquely qualified to lead our audience through a full day and dive deep into their own social efforts," Matt Steinmetz, publisher and brand director of Publishing Executive magazine, commented. "Attendees will leave this master class armed with new tactics to help drive new revenue, enhance audience development strategies, and bolster their brands within their own markets."
