Metrix to Demonstrate Latest Software Release at EFI’s Connect Conference
SEATTLE—Jan. 12, 2013—Metrix Software, developer of Metrix, the intelligent, automated job planning and imposition system, announced that it will demonstrate its latest release, Metrix 2012.0, at the EFI Connect conference in Las Vegas, from Jan. 15-18, at the Wynn Hotel. Metrix has been integrated with various EFI MIS offerings since 2009, finding new efficiencies, speeding production, and reducing errors for leading print manufacturers across North America and around the world.
Metrix 2012.0, incorporating many new productivity features, has been very well received by the market and by the Metrix user base, which has upgraded in record numbers.
Rohan Holt, president and CEO of Metrix Software, said, “Our upgrade ratio reaffirms the importance to our user base of the feature set incorporated into Metrix 2012.0. For example, many of our users requested preview functionality, and we are pleased to have integrated and delivered the best preview engine the industry has to offer based on Adobe technology.
“Some of our customers have homegrown databases, MIS systems, and Web-to-print interfaces,” Holt continued. “For these customers the greatly expanded CSV import capabilities enable the import of projects with Bound, Folded, and Flat products from any and all systems, even Excel spreadsheets. Even customers with effective MIS systems can benefit greatly from building a spreadsheet of all products in a particular campaign to import into Metrix for it to do it’s magic.”
Additional productivity features to be demonstrated at EFI Connect include:
• Drag-n-drop PDF content directly in Metrix interface
• Enhanced shingling capabilities (anamorphic page scaling and trim mark handling options)
• N-Up Folding capabilities (for customers with the N-Up Binding module)
• Improved ease of use in Metrix User Interface
