IDEAlliance TechConference to Highlight TechWeek Slated for March 12-16
XTech 2012 Seminars: Where IT and Media Production Converge - Mach 15-16
TechWeek wraps up with XTech 2012 Seminars (formerly the XML Conference) on Thursday, March 15, and Friday, March 16. The two-day program features industry experts leading in-depth sessions on emerging XML-based technologies that are driving digital media production workflows.
“In the years since XML was introduced at the IDEAlliance 1997 Markup Conference, XML has made the transition from an emerging technology to the core foundation at the heart of today’s content creation, production and delivery tools, processes and workflows,” comments Dianne Kennedy, Vice President Emerging Technologies for IDEAlliance. “This seminar focuses on current and emerging media production technologies driven by XML—or XTechs!”
XTech 2012 includes expert-lead tutorials on computer workstations, technical briefings on emerging XML-based technologies and user case studies delivering real-world insight on XML tools and technologies.
The Emerging Technologies Track will present technical briefings on HTML5, nextPub, EPUB3, CSS3, RDFa, microformats, among other emerging technologies. In the Applied Use Case Studies Track, sessions will focus on how XTechs are being used to publish beyond the page. In the Publishing Tools EXPO, in-person attendees will experience first-hand leading XML-based tools and technologies.
