Hunkeler Partners with SpencerMetrics to Benefit Customers
At Hunkeler Innovationdays 2023, Hunkeler AG has announced a partnership with SpencerMetrics LLC in support of their customers. Hunkeler, a leading supplier of automated finishing equipment, is demonstrating live integration of the Hunkeler Data Capture (HDC) module with the SpencerMetrics CONNECT solution during the Hunkeler Innovationdays event, which is being attended by about 6,500 industry participants in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Recognizing the need for Digitization of data and Next Level Automation, Hunkeler developed the Data Capture module to facilitate Industry 4.0 initiatives for their customers. The SpencerMetrics partnership enables a bridged solution across multiple vendors and technologies in Print and Finishing applications. SpencerMetrics is a leading software provider for the collection, processing, analysis, and display of production and efficiency metrics across vendors. Machine operating data collected from Generation 8, POPP6/7 modules and the Book Sorting Module from the new Smart Logistics Brand can now be integrated with SpencerMetrics CONNECT software through Hunkeler Data Capture to monitor and improve equipment Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Next level automation and the collection of accurate, operational data provides real-time information and clear, concise analyses and visualizations, allowing for quick corrective action as needed. Users can address productivity issues such as equipment uptime, operator and workflow efficiencies, process improvements, etc., all of which contribute towards improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and a high return on investment (ROI) without the need for additional resources.
