HP Graphics Solutions Honored in 2008 Must See 'Ems Awards
CHICAGO—November 4, 2008—HP today announced that several new solutions from its Graphics Solutions Business (GSB) were honored in the 2008 Must See ’Ems awards program. Two newly launched HP GSB solutions were named Must See ’Ems products and one solution earned the program’s Future Print recognition. In addition, an HP digital press was named an Encore Still Worth-A-Look.
The awards, presented annually during the Executive Outlook Conference in conjunction with the Graph Expo trade show, recognize the show’s most compelling products and services, as selected by a panel of 16 leading industry consultants and trade magazine editors. Must See ’Ems products and services represent the most compelling technology that will impact virtually all types of print service providers. Future Print products represent important trends in the industry, but are not yet commercially available.
“As the leading provider of color digital printing solutions for the graphic arts industry, HP strives to provide best-in-class technologies to drive profitable growth for our customers,” said Michael Hoffmann, senior vice president, Graphics Solutions Business, HP. “We are proud that the judges of this prestigious program recognized the value HP’s solutions have for print service providers who want to strengthen their companies.”
HP’s award winning products include:
o the new HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press: Named as a Must See ’Ems award recipient in the Digital Production Color Presses category, the HP Indigo 7000 is a high-productivity sheetfed press that prints 120 high-quality, four-color, A4-size pages per minute and is designed for large numbers of static jobs with run lengths ranging from one copy into the thousands, as well as variable-data work.
o the HP Designjet L65500 Printer: Named as a Must See ’Ems award recipient in the Large Format category, the HP Designjet L65500 Printer is a 104-inch wide device that uses HP’s Scalable Printing Technology and is the first HP printer to use HP Latex Inks, which free users from typical environmental, health and safety considerations of solvent-ink technologies.
o the HP SmartStream Director Web-to-fulfillment workflow solution: Named as a Future Print technology in the Must See ’Ems awards program, HP SmartStream Director is a new solution that offers an integrated production framework for managing jobs – from online submission through printing and fulfillment.
Additionally, the HP Indigo press 5500 was named an Encore Still Worth-A-Look, a level of recognition given to products presented at Graph Expo that earned a Must See ’Ems award in the prior year’s program and were judged to be compelling to the industry.
