Two-Alarm Fire Destroys Wide-Format Digital Printing Business Located in Phoenix
PHOENIX—April 8, 2015—A two-alarm industrial fire completely wiped out a wide-format digital printing company here, requiring several hours and nearly 100 firefighters to extinguish the blaze, according to KPHO-TV. There were no reported injuries.
The fire reportedly broke out shortly before 1:30 p.m. local time Tuesday, beginning on the outside—possibly by a transformer—before spreading to a large warehouse. An unidentified number of other businesses were impacted, but none to the degree of Paramount Promotions. The printer was deemed a total loss, but firefighters were able to salvage the neighboring businesses.
ABC15, which quoted witnesses as saying the transformer started the blaze, also reported that Paramount's roof partially collapsed.
Paramount Promotions was founded in 1992 and provided services including design, production, event and project management, and installation services. Vehicle wraps, banners and inflatables were among its top items.
