Duplo Takes Print to a New Dimension

At PRINT 17, Duplo USA (Booth 1225) is spotlighting its DDC-810 Digital Spot UV Coater. It brings profitability back to print. It utilizes 600x600 dpi inkjet technology, UV lamp curing, and camera image registration to deliver production output with texture and depth by applying a gloss varnish to defined areas of the substrate. Equipped with Duplo’s air suction feed system, it handles maximum paper sizes of 14.33x29.13" up to 450 gsm. Using the PC Controller software, operators can set up a job in four steps, and begin producing jobs within minutes. Its CCD camera system—which automatically corrects for shrinkage, stretch, and skew—along with registration marks ensures the most accurate registration of the spot UV layer onto the document. It accelerates margin growths by creating greater value for products such as business cards, postcards, invitations, direct mailers, and more.

Also taking center stage is the DC-516 Multi-Finisher, a high-speed creaser with business card capabilities. With speeds up to 100 sheets per minute, it can perform up to 20 creases in a single pass, and comes with a dual creasing tool for positive and negative patterns. It features two slots in which optional slitting and cutting modules can be installed for 24-up business card production. Ideal for higher production environments, it offers a feed capacity of 14", and handles sheets up to 400 gsm.
