Dscoop Celebrates 10th Anniversary at GRAPH EXPO 14, Announces Upcoming Conference Dates
CHICAGO—September 30, 2014—Dscoop, the HP Graphic Arts user group that has revolutionized the association model in the digital print industry, has kicked off its 10th anniversary at GRAPH EXPO 14 at McCormick Place in Chicago this week.
In addition to exhibiting within the HP booth at GRAPH EXPO 14, Dscoop will celebrate with its annual member networking event, the Dscoop GRAPH EXPO Party. Dscoop will also release its first-ever white paper: “Dscoop: 10 Years of Transforming Digital Print,” which will give an in-depth look into the organization’s history, achievements and future.
This milestone anniversary will be celebrated with its global community of members and partners through the following signature events throughout the next year:
- DscoopX, the 10th Dscoop Annual Conference, will be held March 5-7, 2015, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington, DC.
- The 2015 Dscoop EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) Conference will be held at the Dublin Convention Center in Dublin, Ireland, from June 3-5, 2015.
- 2015 APJ Conference (Asia Pacific and Japan) will be held in conjunction with IGAS 2015, the International Graphic Arts Show, in Tokyo, Japan, from Sept. 11-16, 2015.
Founded in 2005 by a small number of Indigo owners, in conjunction with HP, Dscoop has grown to over 8,000 members worldwide. The organization launched in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2011 and in Asia Pacific and Japan in 2009. To best serve its members, Dscoop has established multiple regional leadership groups, as well as a global board of directors. The leadership of the boards has paved the way for the organization’s success, which is evident in that companies belonging to Dscoop tend to invest in education and innovation and are almost 15 percent more profitable than their competitors who do not.
"Dscoop has seen phenomenal growth and transformation throughout the past 10 years," said Gary Peeling, incoming Dscoop global chairman and managing director, Precision Printing, based in the United Kingdom. "As we move into the next decade, we will focus on the needs of our members, while continuing to evolve our offerings to align with industry demands. We will empower members and give them the resources necessary to improve their businesses and succeed in this market."
While digital media and technology have dominated the past ten years, Dscoop continues to foster innovation and business growth opportunities for its members and the digital printing industry as a whole. Dscoop has served thousands of digital print professionals; helping members grow their businesses, develop sales and marketing plans, network with peers, run leaner and more productive operations and access continuing education. The next ten years will see Dscoop continue to support HP digital customers in the commercial sector, photo, grand format, and label and packaging, while it looks to increase its penetration in all regions it is represented.
As the organization moves into its next decade it will continue to build on its foundation of knowledge sharing and collaboration. Founded as a hub for sharing best practices, Dscoop’s continued growth will be driven by its collaborative culture as it continues to advance digital printing and drive its members’ success.
