NEW YORK

BROOKLYN—Advanced Digital Printing expects to reduce cycle times with its new Presstek 52DI-AC digital offset press with an integrated aqueous coater. The press, which replaced one of its two existing 52DI models, is being used primarily to produce CD and DVD packaging materials, short-run booklets, postcards and flyers.

ROCHESTER—Hammer Packaging has installed an eight-color, 64˝ KBA Rapida 162 plus coater and accessories such as a roll-to-sheet feeder, Densitronic Professional color control system and lightweight paper package. Hammer is the only package printer in North America with this type of KBA press configuration.

ROCHESTER—To expand its newly created, wide-format printing operation, Mercury Print Productions has added an HP Scitex FB6100 ink-jet printer.

SYRACUSE—Implementing the Kodak Prinergy Connect workflow and Kodak InSite prepress portal system has boosted efficiency at Eastwood Litho.
